From the 1-12 May 2017, Dr Deborah L. Davis delivered seven workshops throughout the country as part of the inaugural VCA Speaker Series.
The workshops were aimed at health and caring professionals who work with bereaved parents and families and deliver perinatal bereavement care. She covered three central topics – thinking about one’s philosophy of care, how essential self-care is to the provision of quality bereavement care, and what bereaved parents want when their baby dies.
The responses from attendees in all locations were overwhelmingly positive and many attendees noted that the half-day workshop was timely for them in their work and was an impetus to reflect on their jobs, their provision of care, and their lives!
If you missed the workshops or want to hear more from Deborah, you can sign up to our ‘Continuing the Conversation’ interactive webinar. Deborah talks about some of the central themes of her workshops, we share resources and links to other information mentioned in the workshops, and participants can discuss the topics with each other and Deborah as well.
The ‘Continuing the Conversation’ interactive webinar begins on Monday 26th June.
