REVIEW: The Vicki Culling Associates Speaker Series 2018
The 2018 Speaker Series featured Jane Weekes, a bereaved mother, who shared her story of the loss of her children in tragic circumstances in 2012.
We called the workshop ‘Tragedy, Trauma and Grief: How Can I Help?’ and focused on professionals who are working with parents and families in trauma and grief.
The workshop was presented seven times – in Auckland and Wellington twice, and in Christchurch, Dunedin and Hamilton.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and it was an absolute privilege to work with Jane.
I am working on organising the speaker and topic for another great series of workshops in 2019 — for more information sign up to my newsletter!
It’s going to be a great two weeks in September – please mark your calendars! And watch this space for more information in mid 2018.
GUEST SPEAKER – Jane Weekes
In 2012, Jane’s two-year-old triplets, Lillie, Jackson and Willsher were killed in a fire whilst living in the Middle East. Since surviving this unthinkable tragedy she has completed a Bachelors Degree of Counselling, working alongside people experiencing great difficulties in their lives such as trauma, grief and loss, postnatal depression, relationship difficulties and addiction.
Having a background in corporate learning and development also gives Jane a unique ability to provide coaching to professionals who work with families experiencing trauma from both a personal, and research based perspective.
